Nigel Edwards QC and Ayesha Smart are instructed in relation to allegations of Misfeasance in public office. The matter arises our of alleged losses to private companies amounting to several Billion pounds Sterling from disclosures made in breach of GDPR.

Nigel Edwards QC instructed by Ian Anderson of Ison Harrison in relation to a regulatory matter at the SRA.

Ravinder Saimbhi completed a 7 day trial at Guildford Crown Court  this week defending in a case of historic allegations of rape of an under 13 year old and causing/inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. The defendant had previously admitted guilt to offences of making indecent images of the same complainant and had served a prison sentence after which time  these allegations had been made.
The case was conducted under the s28 protocol and involved the pre recording of cross examination evidence of the complainant. It was a case of a sensitive nature and needed careful attention and handling. Despite the ultimate conviction, the client was most appreciative of and grateful for his representation in the face of a case which was fraught with difficult issues.
The matter will be sentenced in September.

Great success for Mohammed Saqib's client in High Wycombe this week. The lay client was facing a 6 month totting disqualification, however Mohammed was able to persuade the bench to exercise their discretion in against endorsing penalty points and instead awarded a short term disqualification.
