33 Bedford Row's Head of Immigration and Public Law, Dr Chelvan, has been asked to join the TrustLaw awards ceremony in London as a part of their panel.
The TrustLaw Awards recognises the incredible pro-bono projects worked on by their legal members, alongside NGOs and social enterprises globally.
Dr Chelvan has been chosen for the panel along with Farah Nazeer, Chief Executive Officer of Women’s Aid, in conversation with Nicholas Glicher, Chief Operating Officer of the Thomson Reuters Foundation, as they explore the role of 'the law and civil society in response to surging global threats to humanity'. These global threats include the war in Ukraine, the post-pandemic struggles, as well as the ongoing climate crisis.
The TrustLaw Awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 8th June 2022.
The panel discussion is from 7 - 8pm with the awards ceremony itself following.
