Despite being on strike this week as part of the current criminal bar action, Ravinder Saimbhi secured an emphatic acquittal for her client in her absence, having completed her closing arguments on Friday afternoon at Harrow Crown Court. JE was accused of 2 counts of assault on emergency workers as a result of police attending at his home address to arrest him for an alleged breach of bail conditions. Ravinder was able to skillfully cross examine the officers involved and deploy effective challenges of their accounts using their own body worn video footage to devastating effect. The jury returned not guilty verdicts within 90 minutes.
