Chambers would like to congratulate Dr Tariq Mahmood on his judicial appointment as Chair of the Valuation Tribunal for England.
“Tariq should be a terrific chair of the Tribunal,” said former BVI Commercial Court Judge - Hon. Barry Leon, an arbitrator and mediator who has worked with Dr. Mahmood in various ways over the past few years. “He will bring to Tribunal hearings of council tax appeals and business rate appeals his efficiency, sound judgment and fairness”.
Further to this appointment, Dr Mahmood has a broad commercial litigation and arbitration practice. He is appointed on a regular basis as an arbitrator and mediator domestically and internationally. He teaches at the University of Hull and at the University of Keele in International Dispute Resolution.
