The Canadian Journal of Commercial Arbitration ("CJCA") edited by The Honourable Barry Leon, Gerald Ghikas QC, and Prof. Janet Walker, Prof. Joshua Karton (Queens University, Kingston), and Prof. Anthony Daimsis (University of Ottawa) launches with Volume 1 Issue 1 available free of charge from from the Journal’s website.

Published semiannually in association with the Queen's University Faculty of Law and Juris Publishing, CJCA explores developments in commercial arbitration affecting Canadian interests, whether within Canada and abroad.

The journal’s scope encompasses all issues related to international commercial arbitration, including investment arbitration, which involve Canadian parties or interests. Its focus is on international arbitration, although not to the exclusion of matters that also relate to domestic arbitration.

Aimed primarily at a practitioner audience, CJCA seeks to bridge the gap between practice and academia. CJCA issues may include articles on cutting-edge topics of theoretical and practical interest, case comments, book reviews, and opinion essays.

The Honourable Barry Leon will be an Executive Editor of the Journal.
