At 33 Bedford Row we are committed to training the next generation of barristers and recruiting the most able pupils. We offer mini-pupillages to candidates interested in a career at the Bar who have embarked on the vocational stage of legal training, commenced the Graduate Diploma in Law or reached at least the second year of an undergraduate degree (not necessarily in law). We encourage candidates that wish to apply to Chambers for a 12-month pupillage to first undertake a mini-pupillage with us but this is not a requirement for pupillage and our mini-pupillages are not assessed. We regret that, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to offer any mini-pupillages in Chambers until January 2021. We have taken this decision in order to ensure the health and safety of all those who work at and visit Chambers and to help reduce the number of people attending court. Chambers will continue to keep the situation under review and will aim to recommence mini-pupillages as soon as possible, prioritising those candidates that were accepted for mini-pupillages in 2020 but who could not take up their offers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Further details about how to apply for a mini-pupillage in 2021, together with application deadlines, will be posted on this website in due course.
