During 2020 John was instructed in the Inquest into the Death of an Officer Cadet at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, several very high value (>£1 million) personal injury and clinical negligence cases on behalf of Government (Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Justice). John was also instructed by a leading city law firm on behalf of a Core Participant in the Grenfell Tower Inquiry. He was involved in this high profile and sensitive case for approximately one year, during which time he drafted detailed written documents regarding the evidence in the Inquiry.

More recently John has been instructed as part of the legal team for the Ministry of Defence (RAF) in a High Court nuisance case.

John has been able to use his medical law experience in family law matters. He is often instructed in cases where there are allegations of rape and serious child abuse

John has also written an article on misrepresentation in credit hire cases, and prepared a Personal Injury podcast which can be found on Chambers' website
