33 Bedford Row has been appointed to Bedford Borough Council's newly established barristers' framework, having been selected as one of just ten sets of chambers recognised under the arrangement.

The framework has been created to provide Bedford Borough Council with access to specialist barristers' services where additional capacity or particular expertise is required beyond that available within its in-house Legal Services Unit.

33 Bedford Row has been appointed to Lot 1: Adults, Children and Education, reflecting Chambers' long-standing reputation for excellence in public law matters affecting vulnerable individuals, families and public bodies.

According to the announcement published by Local Government Lawyer, the successful chambers appointed to Lot 1 include a select group of leading sets from across the Bar. The framework is scheduled to commence on 12 June 2026 and run until 12 April 2028, with the option to extend until April 2030.

We look forward to supporting the authority through the delivery of specialist legal advice and advocacy over the life of the framework.
