Aqsa Hussain represented a Detective Constable with over two decades of policing experience at his gross misconduct proceedings. The Officer faced eleven allegations of serious physical and sexual abuse against his ex-partner and minor step-child. The hearing lasted 9-days during which the panel heard evidence from multiple witnesses for the Appropriate Authority, from the Officer, and deliberated for two days. The panel determined that the contested allegations were Not Proven to the requisite standard by the AA.

The Officer received a final written warning for unrelated matters which amounted to gross misconduct admitted at the outset of proceedings; importantly, he retains his job.

Aqsa Hussain was instructed by Andrew Hastings at THB Solicitors and greatly assisted by City of London Police Federation Chairman Mike Reed.
