33 Bedford Row's Christina Warner has recently been published in Counsel Magazine. The artcile, entitled Spain, Mahcismo and #MeToo, disucsses how "Spain’s #SeAcabó movement highlights a problematic past entrenched in machismo and misogyny, as well as its gender-based violence today". 

The article examines recent instances that have led to Spain being in the media spotlight - the nation’s women’s football team winning the FIFA Women’s World Cup Final against England in summer 2023 - where this positive media attention quickly "turned dark" after  Luis Rubiales, Spanish Football Federation President, grabbed Spain’s midfielder Jenni Hermoso and kissed her on the lips. This led to protests - the incident and others like it being "snapshots of a much greater issue".
