Chambers congratulates Dr Katherine Simpson and the Hon. Barry Leon who have been appointed to the recently formed Arbitration and Mediation panels for the new international arbitration and mediation institution, the Cayman Islands Mediation and Arbitration Centre (CI-MAC).

"Cayman International Mediation and Arbitration Centre (CI-MAC) has entered the market to offer modern technology and full-service support in an ideal setting. We provide efficient and flexible dispute resolution services and support for arbitration, mediation. Modern national legislation, a supportive court system, cutting-edge technology, efficient administration, flexibility, confidentiality, and access to high quality arbitrators makes CI-MAC ideal for your next arbitration or dispute resolution proceeding. CI-MAC is dedicated to promoting a sophisticated, bespoke approach to arbitration and mediation, as well as to promoting the Cayman Islands as the jurisdiction of choice."

CI-MAC, a joint venture with Arbitration Place, and located in George Town, Grand Cayman, offers two large state-of-the-art, flexible hearing rooms and four well-appointed breakout rooms for parties and arbitral tribunals.

The CI-MAC is committed to selecting diverse arbitrators. It is the first non-US arbitral institution to adopt the Ray Corollary Initiative Pledge (https://www.raycorollaryinitiative.org/the-pledge). In doing so, CI-MAC aims for at least 30% of each slate it proposes to be “diverse” (per ABA Resolution 105).
