Dr S Chelvan, Head of Immigration and Public Law at 33 Bedford Row, on 12 December provided legal commentary and analysis to the Rwanda Bill on both BBC World News with Lucy Hockings, and also Christian Fraser, on BBC World News ‘The Context with Christian Fraser’.

On 15th December, the Home Secretary said the Government “must and will do more” after a migrant died and another was left in a critical condition when a boat sank in the English Channel.  Dr S Chelvan tells TalkTV’s Vanessa Feltz that the majority of those arriving in the UK are ‘genuine refugees’ and that the Government must provide safe routes for their arrival.
