On 14-15 April, Haydee Dijkstal presented a paper at a human rights conference in Doha, Qatar on 'National, Regional and International Mechanisms to Combat Impunity and Ensure Accountability under International Law.' The Conference was organised and hosted by the National Human Rights Committee in Qatar, the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the European Parliament, and the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions.
Haydee's paper is titled: "Destruction of Cultural Heritage before the ICC: The Influence of Human Rights on Reparations Proceedings for the Victims and Accused."
Haydee was also interviewed by a Qatari newspaper on some of the international issues discussed at the conference. The article, in arabic, can be read here.
