33 Bedford Row's Philip Williams, due to his specialist knowledge, has been appointed Counsel by the Professional Boxing Association (PBA), in assisting with current dispute as Joe Fournier appeals his loss against YouTuber KSI. The controversial decision is being closely monitored and scrutinised worldwide, not just by the sporting world, but also by the many millions of fans who watched the event on DAZN via pay per view generating a multi-million dollar event.

Following the contest between KSI and Joe Fournier on Saturday 13th May 2023, the PBA has confirmed:

"[They have] received a request from Mr Joe Fournier to seek a review/appeal of the decision whereby he was stopped by the referee in the second round of the contest, in favour of KSI."

The PBA also state, "We have invited representations from each contestant and their representatives respectively, before the matter is reviewed in line with our rules and procedures. We are also seeking legal counsel as to the issues involved to ensure all matters are dealt with properly and fairly while seeking to uphold the integrity of boxing." 

The decision on this matter will be available on or before 4pm GMT Friday 19th May 2023.
