Eorann O’Connor represented a young man indicted with others on charges of being concerned in the supply of Class A and B drugs, and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

The case concerned police investigations into drug lines principally supplying crack cocaine and heroin. The trial involved cell site expert witness evidence and large volumes of call data material connecting the defendants to drug line phones.

The defendant relied on evidence of tagging data to demonstrate occasions when he could not have been with a phone police attributed to him, thereby undermining the prosecution’s phone analysis. The jury were told of the defendant’s previous convictions for supplying Class A drugs.

At conclusion of the trial, the jury returned unanimous not guilty verdicts on all five counts. Eorann was instructed by Sadique Al-Hakeem and Rohan Cooray of Tuckers Solicitors.
