Simon Hill successfully represented a defendant in a 4 day trial in County Court at Central London. On 1 February 2019, HHJ Parfitt handed down judgment, finding for the defendant and dismissing the claimant's claim that the claimant held half of the beneficial interest in a residential property. The court declared that the defendant was the sole beneficial interest holder in the residential property. The trial involved issues about property transfer formalities, illegality, an allegedly forged TR1 signature and the equitable maxim of 'clean hands'.
