Introduction

Rayan is a second six-month pupil, having commenced his pupillage in April 2025.

During his first six he accompanied members of the criminal team on cases across the spectrum of chambers’ criminal practice. These included domestic violence, dishonesty and regulatory matters in the Magistrates’ Courts and cases concerning serious sexual, violent and drug-related offences in the Crown Court. He further assisted with case preparation; drafting summary documents, preparing pleadings and researching legal points. 

Prior to commencing pupillage, Rayan was employed by a leading legal aid criminal law firm as a paralegal. He assisted his supervisor, partners and other members of the firm through working on a wide variety of serious criminal matters, ranging from rape and robbery to POCA.

 Rayan was also a county court advocate. He conducted advocacy in trials and preliminary hearings related to PI, RTA and Infant Settlement.

Rayan gained an LLB in Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science and completed his BPTC at the University of Law.

As a second six month pupil, Rayan is not a tenant/member of 33 Bedford Row.
