Introduction
Introduction
Dean is a member of the 33 Bedford Row Civil and Commercial Practice Group. He is experienced in all aspects of commercial litigation and arbitration. Over the years he has developed expertise in insurance and reinsurance coverage disputes, in particular those arising from construction all-risks, marine cargo and professional indemnity covers.
Prior to practising at the Bar, Dean spent four years working in the London insurance market, first at Lloyd’s and later within the construction division of an international loss adjusting company; more recently he worked for the European subsidiary of a major US insurer, advising on a range of commercial policy wordings. These different exposures have helped to develop a strong advisory practice, with a particularly pragmatic focus.
Dean is known not only for his drafting skills but also for his robust approach to litigation when it is needed.
